Glenda Rae Burson

A graveside funeral service for Glenda Burson, age 76, of Madisonville will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Texas. J. Louis Hill will officiate the service. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.

Glenda Rae Burson was born on February 6, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Horace A. & Mildred (Gardner) Burson. She lived in Houston for most of her life where she worked Entex Gas. Following her retirement as an executive assistant, Glenda moved to Madison County. She found jobs that suited her interests including serving as the floral manager of Brookshire Brothers in Madisonville and cake decorating at Hobby Lobby in College Station. Glenda had lived in Madison County for the past fifteen years and was Baptist in faith. She passed away on December 11, 2017 at her home. Glenda was preceded in death by both of her parents; brothers, James & Norman Burson and nephew, Gary Burson.

Surviving family members include nephews, Cliff, Bryan, Brent & Stuart Burson and niece, Robin Youngblood.
