Forrest Mccall Locke

Forrest McCall Locke was born July 12, 1935 to Doris Vincent Pate and Walker Pate in New Orleans, Louisiana. At age six years old, he was dearly blessed with a man who became his step father and adopted him, Thomas J. Locke. Tom Locke and Doris raised Forrest to be a very independent young man.

Forrest was proceeded in death by his parents; three ex-wives, Jackie, Juanita & Nancy and son, Joseph Dean "Joey" Locke.

On August 5, 2018, Forrest passed away in peace at his home of forty years in North Zulch, Texas. He loved being a defined, unique person and carried his own traits in his own special way. He was a compassionate individual, yet very stern. Forrest cordially pursued a dental education degree as to his parents' wishes. Yet automotive repair and fast cars was his calling in business life. After years of working with A.J. Foyt, in 1976, he decided to try his own hand in the automotive business and was very successful for forty-two years. Forrest loved the outdoors and retired at his home farm where he loved raising his cattle and maintaining his acreage. Those who knew him knew it was "his way or the highway," which could be very comical or drastic depending on his mood. He loved watching NASCAR and the stock market. Forrest never backed down from a good challenge and usually would try to teach a lesson or two to individuals while he was being challenged.

Forrest is survived by a son, Calvin Lawson; five daughters, Susan Hughart, Bobbie Gail Lawson, Angelia McWhorter, Carrie Rodriguez (son-in-law, Gabe) and Sherri Leyendecker; grandchildren, Thomas Dale Hughart, Brandy Locke, Kyle, Kelly & Keith Lawson, Cyle & Cory McWhorter, Steven Story, Joshua, Jeremy, Cheyenne, Ashley & Adalia Leyendecker and Shiloh Rodriguez and great grandchildren, Canton, Rylie & Tommy Hughart and Ian, Spencer & Jack Alewine.

Memorial services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Willowhole Cemetery Chapel in North Zulch. Bro. Glenn Connor will officiate the service.
