Funeral services for Charles Dwight Taylor, 73, of Madisonville, Texas will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Sand Prairie Baptist Church near Normangee. Bro. Larry Andrews & Bro. Ivan Linbaugh will officiate and interment will follow in the Jozye Cemetery outside of Madisonville. Visitation will take place from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M., Tuesday, October 24th at Madisonville Funeral Home.

Charles Dwight Taylor was born on January 2, 1944 in Lapanto, Arkansas and passed away on October 22, 2017 in Madisonville. His parents were Will & Vera (Mayo) Taylor. Mr. Taylor had lived in Madisonville since 1996 and was the owner of Midsouth Air Conditioning in Madisonville. He was a member of the Sand Prairie Baptist Church and loved to go whenever he was able. Church was a big part of Mr. Taylor’s life, and he always encouraged his family to attend church. Mr. Taylor enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and four brothers, Joseph, Davis, Sam and Homer Taylor. Surviving family members include wife, Carolyn Taylor of Madisonville; sons, Dwight Taylor (Debbie) of Diboll and Keith Taylor (Billie) of Madisonville; daughters, Brenda Durham (Kenny) of Spring and Margo Myrick (Jason) of Madisonville and brother, Dennis Taylor of Houston. Mr. Taylor is also survived by grandchildren, Russell Taylor, Darrell Billingsley, Cameron Hightower, Breann Holcomb, Cody Denman, Taylor Denman, Brandon Taylor and Madison Taylor; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and good friend (like a son), Kim Holmes.

The Taylor family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Hospice Brazos Valley in Bryan, Texas for the devoted care and attention given to Mr. Taylor.

Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
