Bradley Wyatt Mcfarland

Bradley Wyatt McFarland, age 60, was born on November 30, 1957, in Houston, Texas to Joe Carroll & Betty Jane (Madole) McFarland. He grew up in Houston. Bradley gauged oil wells for a living and had worked for Occidental Petroleum for twenty-three years.

For the past thirty years, Bradley had lived in rural Madison County enjoying all that country life had to offer. He grew blackberry bushes at his home in Midway and enjoyed taking care of them and having them produce an abundance of their delectable fruit. Bradley particularly loved fishing. He could spend all day at a pond or lake with a rod and reel. He also enjoyed a little hunting now-and-again.

Bradley passed away on December 3, 2017 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Carroll McFarland. He is survived by his mother, Betty Rasco (Donald) of Tomball; wife, Stacey McFarland of Midway; son, Joshua James Helmer (Yecenia) of Tyler; sister, Carol Kirksey (David) of Seabrook and grandchildren, Joshua James, AnaLeigh Rose & Amelia Lee Helmer, all of Tyler.

A memorial service to celebrate Bradley’s life will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Rev. David Clapp will officiate the service. A brief visitation will be held that same day from 1 P.M. to service time at the funeral home.
